A new episode of Birdw0rks Radio is here. Subscribable douffa in t’usual place.
We were honoured to be sat alongside a veteran from the Normandy Landings on the LIRR train other night. He was right when he said there ain’t many of them left and we should ask our questions now. I thanked him for his help in making sure we didn’t all end up speaking Kraut.
A week in the confortable warmth of things Floridian have boosted the birdw0rks vitamin D. The aligators look at you in a funny way, but don’t actually rush to chew your knees off, despite that loaded spring pose. Avian life in the Everglades and Big Cypress is over the top, beak in your faceness and worth the haul south.

Floridian humans seem generally friendly overall, apart from a few parts of Miami where you can sense the trigger twitchiness in the air. God knows what it’s like there in the 120 degree summer heat when minds are really flipping while caged in gridlocked, air-condition-brokened car capsules.
